Examples of Multidomestic, Transnational and Global Businesses Essay

Multidomestic: McDonald's

In 1955, McDonald's opened the first restaurant in Des Plaines, The state of illinois. Today, 08, it runs over 23, 000 eating places worldwide, in 119 countries, on six continents, utilizing more than 1 ) 5 million people around the globe. I consider McDonald's a multidomestic firm because they adjust to the cultures of their host countries. This is most seen in their very own branch in India. Cows are held sacred in the Indian religious beliefs of Hinduism which is why McDonald's India does not serve meat. Can you imagine? A McDonald's restaurant without beef? Indian McDonald's burgers happen to be purely veggie and they serve several other products that are completely beef free like several kinds of wraps and pans. We see this element of McDonald's even here in the Philippines exactly where they provide rice burgers.

In line with this, Nokia provides a team of design experts, psychologists, sociologists and functionality experts whom " travel the globe exploring how persons use their particular mobile devices, finding how to make all of them better, how you can reach the billions of people who don't own a phone -- and learn a lot about persons along the way”. One of all their findings include the concept of " phone sharing” which is common...
